Quarry Bay: ECP Literacy Carnival

Storytelling, writing workshops, game booths, and reading corners — designed for kids aged 6–10. Tickets are required so don’t show up without booking first.

Taikoo Square: Books for Love Reading Corner

Rolling Books is setting up an outdoor popup with 100+ children’s books for on-site reading — completely free. The author describes it as “a rare ‘slow down and breathe’ activity”, which honestly sounds exactly like what most of us need on a Saturday afternoon.

Sunday 26 April

Sai Kung: Seadon SK Grand Opening Festival

Sai Kung’s new creative space opens at 30 Po Tung Road with live music, pizza-making, printing workshops, and a community run. Free entry for most of it — premium workshops have limited spots so check ahead if there’s something specific you want.

Causeway Bay: Wonder Valley Playhouse Grand Opening

A new indoor play space opens at Windsor House (15/F). Grand opening deal: $50 for 1 adult + 1 child for 1 hour. Features face painting, balloon twisting, and dress-up areas — a soft landing if the weather turns.
